Point-Of-Sale (POS) Integration
Westec provides flexible point-of-sale (POS) integration solutions to enhance the operational value of the system. This is accomplished through the integration of your transaction data with recorded video and audio, providing you with both live and searchable POS data that is fully integrated with your video surveillance system.
The system supports integration with most major industry protocols, and provides the flexibility to interface with Serial, Parallel, TCP, and XML transaction data that is input from up to 16 registers per DVR.
The DVR receives alphanumeric data from the POS hardware or software interface and can overlay the data onto the camera image. All transactional data is also written to a local database that is synchronized with the DVR calendar for post-analysis with corresponding video and audio.
Since transaction data is saved with video, the DVR allows you to search point-of-sale transaction data, to drill down into individual transaction details, and to view video and audio that is associated with each individual transaction. Searches can be completed both locally on the DVR and when accessing the system using the Remote Client.
Data is presented in a simple interface that allows you to complete basic searches for transaction data based on date/time, register, transaction number, or exceptions. More advanced searches of transaction data are also possible, with options to narrow returns based on payment method, payment amount (over, equal, or below), and employee ID. Once search results are returned, the associated video and audio is available for review.
